The weather in Los Cabos and particularly Cabo San Lucas is near perfect with around 320 days of sunshine and only 6-7 inches of rain each year.
Spring is the driest season and most years, there is no rain at all from March through June. Winter blends almost imperceptibly into spring, and temperatures rise gradually with the approach of summer. Summer temperatures are the highest between 80-95 degrees but the heat and higher humidity is tempered by the cool Pacific breezes.
Summer is the rainy season if it can be considered one at all since August and September are the wettest months, yet combined, account for less than three inches on average. These months are also considered ‘hurricane season’ but the region has rarely experienced a true hurricane with the last, hurricane Juliette having hit in 2001. Tropical storms are more common but still infrequent and can bring a foot or two of rain in a matter of hours. Powerful winds from storms that may be hundreds of miles away generate spectacular ocean waves that draw tourists and locals alike out for the show and surfers out to take the challenge of the Big one!
